We headed to the lake on Wednesday. Had a great time! Relaxed, visited with friends and was elected the new President of the home owners association! There are only 17 homes in our neighborhood and being the pres. is no big deal, but no one ever wants to do it! A few of the board members and I met the night before the meeting and planned our "strategy"! We were trying to get one of the male board members to step down and make it an all female board, we think we can do it better and with less drama than the guys! He didn't step down, I think it's a power thing for him. Anyway, I agreed to be president and we'll see how that goes! I'm actually a lot tougher than people think I am!
We came home on Saturday afternoon. As I was walking through the back yard I saw something fall to the ground... it was this, the last of my camellia blossoms! Isn't it pretty?
Monday was my birthday, and even though I am kind of over the celebrating of birthdays, the kids still think I should have a cake. They picked this one out for me at Marble Slab. If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the same one they got for me last year! I think this might be someone's favorite! ;)~Steph
