I am so glad to see the sun this morning! It started raining early on Saturday and rained all day and night. It wasn't stormy, just cool and rainy, just the way I like it!
Sunday we had another house showing, so we decided to go to the late Mass and go to lunch during the showing.
Last night I attended a Taizé Prayer for Lent at our church. This has been offered several years but I have never made the effort to attend. According to the write-up in the church bulletin: "Taizé-style worship was developed by a Christian ecumenical community in eastern France, and is characterized by simple chants based on the scriptures and periods of silence to create an environment for encountering the mystery of God. This time of quiet, gentle, communal prayer will help to relieve the stress in your life, and allow you to better focus on your Lenten journey."
It was so beautiful. The lights were dimmed and there were candles all over the altar. At one point those in attendance were encouraged to approach the cross that was in front of the altar, light a candle to symbolically release their burdens to the compassionate love of Christ. If they do this again next year, I will definitely attend!
We have another house showing tomorrow morning. I am so ready to sell this house, or not. I just hate the instability!
Happy Monday!
